Trammell Bridge : ウィキペディア英語版 | Trammell Bridge
The Trammell Bridge is 1.6 miles long and carries State Road 20 over the Apalachicola River in the Florida Panhandle between Blountstown and Bristol. It was named for United States Senator from Florida and former governor Park Trammell, who died in office in 1936. The westbound and eastbound lanes of SR 20 are on separate spans, with the westbound span being the original, older bridge; the eastbound span is a modern, concrete high-rise bridge. The original bridge, now the westbound span, was built of steel and concrete piers in 1937-1938 by the Wisconsin Iron and Bridge Company. In 1989, the original span was listed in ''A Guide to Florida's Historic Architecture'', published by the University of Florida Press.〔''A Guide to Florida's Historic Architecture'', 1989, Gainesville: University of Florida Press, p. 29, ISBN 0-8130-0941-3〕 The Eastern end of the bridge is in the Eastern Time zone while its Western end is in the Central Time zone. ==References==
